Start Here
Read through the slides to find an animal that could be a good fir for your home. Email the foster team for more info and to schedule a meet.
Supplies
Collect supplies from Almost Home either prior to picking up your foster animal or when you pick up your foster animal.
Foster
You’ll all srt! Read the Foster Handbook on ways to help your foster settle. Reach out to the foster, medical, behaviour teams for help as needed.
Write a Profile
After 5-7 days in your home, you will be contacted to write your foster’s adoption profile. Our email will walk you through the process.
Cleared for Foster
Once in foster care for 1 week min, altered vaccinated, de-wormed and has no outstanding medical or behavioural issues, we will notify you when they are cleared for adoption!
Adoption Process
An Adoption Coordinator will reach out to you to schedule meets with potential adopters. Your feedback is extremely important!
